Broken River, premieres Tuesday, October 20, at the Film House at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
Broken River investigates the former General Motors site, where decades of industrial history have left behind a contaminated property surrounded by a community still waiting for answers. Through the stories of residents and those who have been pushing for action, the film examines what happens when environmental responsibility, political inaction and the interests of a community collide. If you are interested in solving this problem or you live near the site, you don’t want to miss this important film from St.Catharines filmmaker Sabrina Hill.
